“Why won’t God heal amputees” is actually not a fail. It’s a really good question. There are thousands of people who believe that faith in God can cure diseases and heal wounds. But why are examples of those cures always things that could have been cured in another way (say, by scientific healthcare?) You never see someone regenerate a missing arm. Why won’t God heal amputees?
The reason why it’s on the list is because of the website http://whywontgodhealamputees.com/ which attempts to use arguments like this to argue against belief in God.
That’s one of those stupid arguments. Next time why don’t you ask “Why God don’t give you a million dollars?” or “Why God wants good people die?” or “Why God makes people born with disability?”
You didn’t come up with any counter-arguments.
It is irrational to blame/thank God for events that likely could more likely occurred by other circumstances. People sometimes survive a deadly cancer, but this is typically after intensive medical care. If there is a God who heals people, then why do we never see someone who, say, regrows an leg? Could it be that all the healing-situations have been actually been caused by other circumstances?

I am not saying that I DEMAND God to give me a million dollars or to grow me 8 arms, and that the fact that it can’t happen proves that God doesn’t exist. I’m saying it is irrational (repeating myself now) to believe that God will cure diseases when all the examples of this could might as well have been cured in ANOTHER, NATURAL WAY… Considering that he for some reason refuse to cure people whose diseases can’t be (for example a person regrowing an arm).
Well, maybe you should just go to the website and read their arguments.
In regards to your last question:
If I understand evolution correctly, life on Earth did start out as small unconsciousness creatures and evolved into more complex and intelligent beings (don’t really find this very relevant to my argument, though).

Hkh, if you read that site, it is very in depth in answering this question. I checked it out a few years ago and it definitely changed the way i think of religion and blind followers that claim faith as a tool to dismiss asking hard questions. its a real eye opener for sheeple and mindless washouts that rather be led than know a single thing for them damn selves. we really only know what we’ve been told if we dont seek out our own truth. Why doesn’t God make people spell correctly or heal anyone or do anything? The answer seems clear to me. As for the parakeet, you have to slowly add it to his food until he gets used to the taste. You can’t just give to him all at once.
