Wow…you guys are clueless. You do realize that insurance companies make more money the FEWER accidents a person has, right? That’s the entire point of being an insurance company (for basically any kind of insurance). People pay you a certain amount a year for coverage far higher than that, but the company comes out ahead as long as the few people who end up costing them more than they took in from those people are far offset by the money they make by the many good drivers who cost them next to nothing. This is exactly why insurance companies offer lower rates for people that have a LOWER risk of accidents, because these are the people that are least likely to end up costing them money later. It’s the same basic logic behind healthier people having an easier time getting health insurance (and for cheaper) and younger people having an easier time getting life insurance for cheaper; the more likely you are to end up paying to the company more than you cost them, the lower the rate they are willing to go with. And that’s why insurance companies charge women less: studies have regularly and consistently shown that, in contrast to your typical sexism, women on average have lower rates of traffic violations and car crashes (although both genders have about the same number of accidents, women just tend to have more minor ones and fewer actual crashes).

I had put some links up but I guess they werent confirmed. I have to say I see pretty much equal shit drivers on the road both male and female… I do however tend to see more YOUNG males driving wrecklessly trying to be “cool.”

I would guess that there’s far less of a correlation between being a woman and being a moron about driving/parking, and far more of a correlation of being a moron and thinking all women are morons about driving/parking…

All the women i know have far less driving skills than the men i know, that does not mean women are crappier drivers, but so far my female friends does not better the numbers for chicks.

Woman or not, I personally can parallel park better at night in a poorly lit parking lot while wasted. I’ve done it before and I live in an area where parallel parking’s uncommon.
Women pay cheaper car insurance because there are less women driving cars, proportionally to men. and also, women tend to drive the family’s car (which mainly is in the husband’s name). It’s true that a majority of women don’t show talent but on the other hand, men interests in automotive in a far younger age than women ( boys like cars, girls like barbies ). I’m not saying that women are the worst and men are the best… I’m saying that women’s interest diverges from auto-motion and men think about cars since childhood. So… women are generally worse drivers not because theyr gender or because sex wars, it’s because they see cars as a tool and us men see it as a new world to explore.
Sorry girls for the comment… But neither sides had arguments for what you’ve been saying and i, having a father working on an insurance company, think to be able to enlighten you.
