Two things. A chinese old woman doesnt take pictures of her iris. Second of all im a photographer, an iris shot is taken with either a 3, 4 or 7 CM distance for lighting reasons.
Oh, and who takes an iris shot outside in the middle of a public place.

Daniel, I know Luffeh already elaborated on this but who takes an iris shot directly against the eye? All you will get is a completely black picture and maybe a line or two of the eye but that’s a stretch when you got it that close. The whole basis of photography is light. Without light you wouldn’t have pictures. You need shadow too but . . . I don’t need to waste paragraphs on this schmuck.

Well at least my wife haven’t done something like this with camera, but it’s different with phonecam. 8D
There is a simple explanation however, some people are just used to cameras with viewfinders, not to ones with a screen.
