If you are active you may gain weight and become slightly heavy, but severely overweight is your own fault. I am 6’3″ and 350lbs, but I look like I weigh about 270. This is because I am active and was a football player. I am not rippling with muscle atleast not yet, but am still in decent shape. But when I was in middle school the football roster said 6’2″ 280lbs and back then I was fat, so I worked on myself. I am not innocent either because for awhile I was trucking and got up over 400, I didn’t look it, but it irritated me so I decided to find a different job and get healthy again. Next, you need to get motivated and take charge of your life by diet and exercise. Not a one size fits all diet either. Do research, talk to your doctor, and make your own diet. Not everyone responds the same way to “canned” diets, read the disclaimer “results not typical”, but, through trial and error, you can build one that works for you. I use the “Blood Type Diet” as a guide coupled with a high protien diet because I need the protien due to my sheer muscle mass. I will be rippling eventually. At about 300 I’ll look awesome. Also, not eating doesn’t allow weight loss because your body basically goes into standby mode only digging into stored energy when absolutely needed. You must eat to lose weight, just not a maximum caloric intake meal. Finally, build yourself a proper workout. Know the areas you need to target and how to work them. It can take up to a month to start seeing results depending on how hard you are pushing yourself, the type of diet you are on, and if you are focusing on the proper areas. This requires research and getting to know your own body, or hiring a physical trainer. Sometimes, even with a properly balanced diet and correct workout program, you will appear to gain weight first before you start losing it. This can also happen at later stages of your training. This is when you start building muscle. Muscle weighs more than fat and therefore when you start packing on the muscle your weight will level off or increase at times, but if you keep with it you’ll start to notice that even though you appear to gain weight you are looking trimmer. So, pull your head out, take pride in yourself, and get yourself into shape. Even if it is only 50lbs you’ll feel better.
