I feel his pain, I’ve waited over an hour for that damn stop sign change to go, fucker never did.
I say this is staged to look like a fail. Either the guy filming at the bottom of the hill wanted his skater friend to bite it or the skater himself wanted to make a viral video. But I find it hard to believe he didn’t see the sign when deciding to go down the handrail.

this is not a staged fail. the balance is central and his momentum is forward-going, the speed and lock keep you going head on. also keep in mind the entire trick is to stay balanced on the rail and not fall left or right. these motion-physics mixed with the skaters aim to complete the rail resulted in action being taken too late to leave the rail thus, slamming into the sign.
