Yeah, and the government doesn’t cheat us out of money? My parents are both government workers, one a teacher and the other a cop. They each get paid JUST enough not to qualify for welfare but not enough to live on, they are divorced and we live right by Chicago and Gary. Most shootings here are Mexican, the black people coming into my town (which used to be mostly white, but now whites are a minority) have helped us pass bills to clean up the roads, the schools, raise more funds for teachers (so my family can afford to eat), and help finally knock down an entire neighborhood of condemned houses. This isn’t just one black, this is an entire town of 70% black, 13% hispanic, 10% white, and 7% oriental and native american. My friend’s mother is a stripper, the only one I know, and she is white. My father was abusive, he is white AND a cop. And since the town has started being more integrated, guess what? My mother’s first grade classroom literacy has gone UP! Her students (of which 19 are black out of 23) are reading at a third grade level. Racism is unwarrented. I WISH I could get some money out of the government. At least I’ll stimulate the economy with it instead of hoarding it away or blowing it on Iraq. Do not even get into racism with Muslims either, my step mother is from Jordan, I have been there, and like the US, there are good parts and bad parts. @ Phd – actually African’s originally were NOT “dragged” into America against their will. African’s started enslaving other African’s, and when you begin to enslave a group of people, they begin to be viewed as a form of currency. That’s why they began sending African’s to America; for profit. Once the American’s began seeing them as a form of currency, they began stealing them from their home country. And no I’m not racist, I actually have an Ethiopian ancestor who ruled part of Egypt in the 18th dynasty, so I took it upon myself to be more educated in African history/culture. But the fact is every race on Earth has been enslaved, and it’s because of this type of disrespect and hatred.
