If they use the spreader it would throw sand all over those cars. This is not a fail. They are just throwing a bit of sand in that parking area so the cars can drive around it easier.

ignorance is bliss and the video looks funny as hell. The hopper would indeed get sand all over the cars. But who drives a street De-icing truck in a parking lot? They do sell portable salt and sand hoppers for parking lots and side walks. I’ve seen them so I know they exist. Then again, what do I know? I live in Phoenix, Arizona and it never snows or ices over here.
