Double Multi-Fail

Katy Perry had one job for the crowd at Isle of MTV Malta: roll her toward the stage. She climbed into a giant inflatable water bottle during "I Kissed a Girl," flopped onto the sea of hands, and trusted a few thousand strangers to do the rest. Bad plan. Instead of nudging the bottle forward, fans bounced it the wrong way and sent Perry deeper into the crowd, stranding the pop star inside a see-through plastic tube like a package nobody ordered. She rolled with it, laughing and pointing until the audience finally worked out which way the stage was. "Thank you for getting me back," she said once the bottle reached the front, then carried on like she had not just been human-pinballed across a festival. Full marks for the recovery. The stunt itself goes straight in the fail pile.
