I work at this kiosk and the train took out one side of the kiosk which resulted in about 175 pieces being broken. There were only 2 kids and 1 adult on the train at the time it happened. Just making sure the facts are there
just glad no one was hurt!

I call it a win! I hate those stupid ass trains roaming around the mall during xmas time. It is about time someone did the right thing and crashed it. Surely had to be a woman though lol
It was a woman! HaHa, she is o.ly 18 and it was kinda scary. There was a mother and her two small girls in the caboose when it flipped.

It is a shame that this train failed. I feel the one thing we all need to look at is that it is for the kids. We as adults may think of it as a pain in the butt, but the children that are able to ride it think of it as a new adventure. The is one of the goals we have for children, to use their imagination.
Children don’t care where the train goes as long as they can ride it! If you want to have a child use their imagination take them to Disney World not a crowded mall! What happens when someone gets hurt because of the train, it will happen. Sad just sad.

We were at the mall on Sunday and saw the train. I thought at the time, we would see it on the news for a accident. What a dumb idea during the busy season. It was cute but….. glad no injuries

This one is usually on a track at the other end of the mall. Why was it by NY and Company off of the food Court?

There still is one in the food court. This is a larger one that you pay $3 to ride and loads in front of Lane Bryant. I think now it may circle down around JC Penny’s court and back around to Sears court. And I have only seen men driving it since, and hey, some women can drive! Just not that one. lol This trian is so annoying, always blowing the whistle, they even yell “all aboard”. But when the go down the hall you have to move out of there way! It’s Christmas, the mall’s a bit too busy for train rides that don’t even drop you off to the other side of the mall!
I work in this mall and was there this day. The train was suppose to stay on the outside of the mall and the it was the 16 year old girls first day driving the train and she thought it would be a good day to cut through the middle of the mall to get to the other side. This train was just a bad idea.

lol I work at this mall. It wasn’t a woman driving, it was an elderly gentleman. Unfortunately, he also has run over several people (before the crystal kiosk incident.) Including the other manager at my store’s grandfather… He has been relieved of his driving duties since this accident. A younger man is who drives it now and things are fine. Is it annoying? Kindof, but only because I have to hear it 8 – 10 hours a day. The rest of the time, it’s great. Kids love it, parents love it, and it’s another source of revenue for the mall. (I hate that part though, I don’t think they should charge you to ride, but I guess I understand why.)
