Sounds like me. Had a lady ask me tonight why was I not drinking much. She asked, “Did You get drunk last night?” I said that I didn’t get drunk, I stayed drunk. That shut her up for a few minutes.
I used to drink a lot last year. Even considering the cheapest of beers, it was pretty expensive. Then I started making my own hard cider and cranberry wine and shit. No matter the case, I actually try to stay away from the stuff as much as possible now. It took me a few days to re-establish my sleep pattern. Drugs generally don’t work for me too well. I’m all or nothing.
I drink homemade mead. I am actually working on a blackberry bottle right now!
What’s the alcohol yield??? Have you made it before? I would love to make moonshine but don’t have the money for a distiller.
I use to make wine of varying kinds. Can’t find the juice that doesn’t have preservatives and crap in it.
I live in a young, hip area. We have a lot of natural markets and grocers and all that shit. It’s good for wines.
It yields about 16-18%. Yes, I’v been making it for years. It’s not that hard, I got the recipes and instructions off the internet. Depending on the fruit, some of them turn out really sweet.
As far as moonshine goes, that’s not my thing… Tequila, that’s my thing.
Well, I have made my own juice and then the wine. Made some scupadine wine like that a few years back and it was great. I gave most of it away as Christmas gifts and everybody loved it and wanted more, but I can’t find any more scupadine grapes.
